Black and Orange Day at School
AKA Halloween. Unfortunately, things have greatly changed since I was in school. Children are no longer welcome to wear their costumes to school. They are allowed to wear black or orange and are able to bring in treats to share with their classmates. Here are the boys all ready for black and orange day!

Field Trip to Thiessens Apple Orchard
We headed out to Wheatley to Thiessens Apple Orchard for the boys very first field trip. The day began with their first bus ride. They were so excited! We spent the day learning about growing apples and how the orchard operates, then off for a hay ride throughout the orchard, picked a bag of apples to take home. Then lunch break and some free time to play in the kids area. Oh yes and some sliding and jumping around in the hay barn. A little more play time and another bus ride back to school. A good time was had by all!

First Day of School
Well it's finally here. The very first day. I am driving the boys to school (long story but the short version is that they would have to take separate buses and I absolutely REFUSE to do that). We made it right as the bell was ringing (OOPS). It was probably for the best as there was no time for tears. Theirs or mine.
All packed and ready to go!
I took these after school. We weren't as rushed!

Meet the Teacher Day
Well, it's almost time. My little monkeys are starting school. Yes, Junior Kindergarten already! We went to the school today to meet their teacher, Mrs. St. Pierre. The kids were able to check out their classroom (Evan had already visited a few times back in May). They are very excited for their first day!

Sturgeon Woods Camping Weekend
We went to Sturgeon Woods Campground in Leamington to celebrate dad and Charlie's birthdays. We were there with Angie and Dennis and the girls and Dad and Gayle. This was our first time camping there. It was a nice campground. Quite a bit different from our usual stays at Campers Cove but much more enjoyable this time around. We had seen Evan's neurologist right after our last trip and had his medication changed. The new meds were much better. The only thing that caused a bit of trouble was that he loves the pool and hates to leave it. We dealt with a meltdown each time we left the pool but thankfully that was it and it got better as the weekend progressed.
