Goodbye to Rev. Catherine

Rev. Catherine Elsdon

As mentioned before, we have been incredibly blessed to have Rev. Catherine Elsdon with us.  She has given us many gifts and breathed some new life into our congregation.  She is going to be greatly missed.  Her last service with us was today and it was a reflection of this year.  She has a unique and touching way of presenting her ideas and sermons and today was no exception.  Through the lighting of candles she reminded us of all that we have experienced and accomplished this year.  This talented and gifted young lady will touch many lives in her ministry. I know that I am incredibly grateful and blessed that she began his ministry with us.  God Bless!

Christmas Service

Today was our last Sunday service before Christmas.  Catherine had a special tree set up and had invited the Sunday School kids as well as a few adults participate in the service to decorate the tree.  It was a truly special service.  She is such a gift to us.  Our time with her is quickly coming to an end.  We are going to miss her greatly.  She has given so much in such a short time.

Changes, Hopefully for the Good

Well the boys have switched from Monday-Wednesday to Tuesday-Thursday. It wasn't an easy decision to make but I'm comfortable with it and hope it's for the best.  The change was necessary as Evan wasn't able to receive the one-to-one attention that was really important to help him establish a good routine at school.  He was sharing with another student on the original schedule.  The school board took quite some time before finally making a final decision to confirm Evan's DSW, Kim Maurina, for a fulltime position.  Once it was confirmed it was necessary to split the students up and naturally the other parents would not make the change.  It would have been easier to make the decision if it only involved Evan, however this change affected Tommy as well.  The kids visited their "new" class last week and it went well.  So I am hoping and praying that it was the right decision.

Sunday School Halloween Parade

Two young ladies have taken over teaching Sunday School this year.  Cassie and Aly are doing a great job teaching and guiding our very small group of youngsters!  The twins love them both and are very much enjoying Sunday School.  They had a Halloween Parade this year much to the delight of the kids and I'm pretty sure, the delight of the congregation!
