Last Day of School

Well I can't believe it!  A full school year has gone by!  I remember the first day as if it was yesterday.  So worried about my little boys.  As it turns out, there was no need to worry.  They were just fine.  They had a water day on Tuesday which was perfect and then a picnic day today.  I don't think they quite realize that school is out for the summer but I'm sure they'll figure it out!

We received very sad news that Mrs. M is moving to a new school and we are going to miss her greatly.  The good news is that we have contact with her outside of school and will keep in touch with her.

JK Field Trip to the Detroit Zoo

On June 17, our JK class set out for the Detroit Zoo.  The boys were super excited especially because they were able to ride the bus there!  It was an incredibly warm humid day!  I went over with some of the other moms.  One of which was Lorna Baker.  Chatting with her is just like being back in high school.  Boy have I missed her! 

When we arrived the kids paired off with the parents.  Tommy, Evan and I paired up with Kim and Keaton and off we went!  Was I ever glad that I brought their wagon with me!

 

 

 

 

 

This momma was pooped when we arrived back home. Had a quick drink at Lorna's with Jane, Carly, Caroline and Lorna and then met the bus.  Got home to no air conditioning!  UGH!  It was 40 degrees with the humidex today.  No wonder we were hot!

 

 

Meet the Machines!

I took the boys to the WFCU Centre this morning to "Meet the Machines".  I had no idea it was going to be such a large event.  Evan is not very good with standing in line however he did very well all things considered.  We were not able to go through every vehicle they had there but we did see all of them.  I'll plan better for next year!

A New Season of TBall Begins

Our second season of TBall began this evening.  The boys are playing for the Red Team - Woodslee Mini Mart!  Chris' cousin Ray Sauve is one of the coaches.  The boys were pretty excited.  The first night was just about meeting coaches and teammates, getting shirts and hats and running through a few practices.

Mrs. Koop's Last Day

We have been incredibly lucky to have Mrs. M this year but were doubly blessed when she had a student from St. Clair join her this winter for her placement.  Mrs. Koop arrived with a super smile and warm personality and charmed the pants off Evan from the very beginning.  She was very involved from the start and in no time you would have never guessed she was a student. 

She will continue to volunteer from time to time until the end of the school year and we wish her all the best as she seeks full time employment!

The Twins are 5 Years Old!

Well at 1:23 pm and 1:28 pm respectively it was official.  Both boys got their birthday kisses at precisely the exact time!  We had a special Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party today to celebrate.  The boys were quite excited when they saw the set-up in the dining room. 

Evan was a little under the weather early in the afternoon.  Thankfully Tylenol did it's job and after a long nap he was feeling better.  They opened the last of their gifts after dinner.  Evan went absolutely crazy for his "Elmo's Daddy" movie aka Travel Songs and Games.  Damn, I hope this one lasts.  It's getting harder and harder to find!
